Red Ribbon Week - Day 2 - 50th Day of School and Looking Ahead to the Year 2050 image
Today is the 50th day of school this year! This has been a very different year than most. We are wearing masks, washing more, and keeping our distance in common areas. But some things have stayed the same! We are still celebrating Red Ribbon Week!

Red Ribbon Week is a nationwide celebration that brings awareness to the power of our choices. Making healthy choices is so important as we grow and it impacts our future.

For today's celebration, we are looking ahead to the year 2050. Consider making a time capsule now that documents your life for you to look back on in the future. Check out this quick video that tells us more about how to make our own time capsule:

In addition to dressing how you see yourself in the year 2050, take a moment to write something about the future. Your teachers will tell you more. Here are some writing ideas:

-It is the year 2050. What is going on in your world? What is your life like?

-Write a letter to your future self. What do you want to remember about your life right now? What do you hope you'll be doing in the year 2050 (that's 30 years from now). You can use your journal, Google docs, or even this website to write a letter to your future self : https://www.futureme.org/
