Lauren Preskitt Hall, Ed.S, NCC, LPSC

Welcome to DCE! My name is Lauren Hall and I am a dedicated and experienced school counselor who has proudly served the learners of Double Churches Elementary since 2008. As a Columbus native and former student of the Muscogee County School District, I strive to bring personal connection and positivity to my role. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Furman University, a Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Columbus State University, and an Education Specialist degree in School Counseling from Valdosta State University.

As a Nationally Certified Counselor and active member of the American School Counselor Association and Georgia School Counselor Association, I remain committed to supporting the whole child through comprehensive counseling services. As your school counselor, I provide classroom guidance lessons, small group support, and individual counseling using a solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) approach that empowers learners to grow in confidence and problem-solving skills.

Beyond the school walls, I'm a wife and proud mother of four children (including identical twins), as well as a recent grandmother. When I have free time, I enjoy reading, writing, travel, yoga, gardening, word puzzles, and a good game of Jeopardy. 

I'm very passionate about the learners and families that are part of our school community, and I look forward to helping each one grow, succeed, and thrive at DCE.
