Welcome to DCE! My name is Lauren Hall and I have proudly served as school counselor to the learners of Double Churches Elementary since 2008. As a Columbus native and former student of the Muscogee County School District, I strive to bring personal connection and positivity to my role. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Furman University, a Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Columbus State University, and an Education Specialist degree in Counseling from Valdosta State University.
As a Nationally Certified Counselor and active member of the American School Counselor Association and Georgia School Counselor Association, I remain committed to supporting the whole child through comprehensive counseling services. As your school counselor, I provide classroom counseling lessons, small group support, and individual conferences using a solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) approach that empowers learners to grow confidence and increase their problem-solving skills.
Beyond school walls, I'm a wife and mother of four children (including identical twins), and I have 1 granddaughter. When I have free time, I enjoy travel, gardening, puzzles, reading, writing, and a good game of Jeopardy.
I'm very passionate about helping the learners and families that are part of our school community, and I look forward to helping each one grow, succeed, and thrive at DCE.
