Grounding

Grounding can be a helpful way to calm anxious feelings. It helps redirect your mind to pay attention to your 5 senses and how they are interacting with the world around you right at that moment. There's no wrong way to do it, but check out this video, and then try grounding for yourself naming 5 things you see, 4 things you feel, 3 things you hear, 2 things you smell, and 1 thing you taste. If you can't think of something for any category you can name your favorite(s) in that area. For example, if you can't taste anything right then, just name your favorite taste - mine is vanilla ice cream!
